Is there still a problem with homelessness and schizophrenia?
Article Abstract:
The idea of a specific relation between homelessness and schizophrenia was first formally expressed in the scientific literature in Germany. Studies of homeless populations have suggested that the onset of mental illness, particularly schizophrenia, usually precedes the onset of homelessness.

Housing, homelessness, and mental health in Great Britain
Article Abstract:
New initiatives in homelessness legislation, in funding resettlement support and in health services for different homeless populations are introduced. The different rates of mental health among these populations in Great Britain are also discussed.

The population of homeless and mentally disturbed includes young and old, women and men, single persons and families. Major reasons which contribute to adult homelessness are - adverse childhood experiences and unhappiness.
