Linking together different measures of preference: a dynamic model of matching derived from decision field theory
Article Abstract:
A new approach based on the decision field theory to understanding the relationship of choice and selling prices was presented. Results show that choice and selling prices are functions of information processing factors and are linked together by a common latent dynamic and stochastic preference state. The model accounts for effects of practice on preference reversal and effects of elicitation procedures on prices. The decision field theory is able to predict approach-avoidance movements, choice probability, choice response times and distribution of values of matching tasks.

The effect of "irrelevant" variables on decision making: criterion shifts in preferential choice?
Article Abstract:
The lexicographic criterion model and probabilistic criterion model were evaluated. These models predict preferential binary choice and interpret the effects of 'irrelevant' or 'nonpreferential' variables. Results show that the lexicographic model is highly falsifiable. The probabilistic criterion model is more viable as it does not require a special error theory or an artificial dichomotization of choice proportion. Models of choice probability is needed for a complete understanding of choice behavior.

Looking and weighting in judgment and choice
Article Abstract:
Three different hypotheses are proposed in which prediction of increased looking time with increased weight is established in task focus within subjects. Results reveal that shifts in looking behavior in binary and judgment choice are associated with changes in dimensional weight. Weight is shown to serve in experimental studies as a determining mechanism or directly on incentive values or differences in values.
