A study of the marital communication between couples in which the wives suffered from eating disorders revealed that an analysis of the quality of marital communication helped in the treatment of these patients. Twenty one married couples were studied in an analysis of the communication patterns in which all the female partners suffered from eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia nervosa.
