Maternal influences on daughters' restrained eating behavior
Article Abstract:
A study examined whether mothers who are more preoccupied with their own weight and eating habits have any influence on daughters' restrained eating behavior. The mothers who were highly preoccupied with weight and eating reported higher level of restricting their daughters, which in turn place daughters at risk for developing problematic eating behaviors.

Article Abstract:
Research shows overweight people can avoid weight gain during holidays by using self-monitoring interventions. The intervention group was significantly more successful than the group that did not self-monitor for the period between Christmas and New Year's.

Research shows tailoring health information for individual needs increases the probability of the information being thoughtfully considered. Instances of weight-loss materials formatted in various ways are discussed.
