Mathematics of marital conflict: qualitative dynamic mathematical modeling of marital interaction
Article Abstract:
A new nonstatistical mathematical method is developed for modeling interactions within the context of marriage via nonlinear difference equations. The modeling approach is used to explain J.M. Gottman and R.W. Levenson's research work on the possibility of using a single variable taken from a balance perspective of marital interaction to determine future marital dissolution. A hypothesis that husband and wife influence functions do not match at Time 1 in unstable marriages is presented.

Sexuality and the dual-earner couple: Multiple roles and sexual functioning
Article Abstract:
Theory from social psychology and hypotheses from clinical psychology were applied to generate predictions relating to the relationship between employment and sexual functioning in marriage. There were no obvious differences between homemakers and women working part time and full time on measures of frequency of intercourse, sexual satisfaction and decreased sexual desire.
