Capacity limitations of a classic M-power measure: a modified dual-task approach
Article Abstract:
An experimental study was conducted to evaluate the traditional neo-Piagetian theory of the digit-placement task/dual-task to determine if the test is limited by the capacity of the subjects. An improvised method categorizing the digit placement tasks into four parts based on the level of difficulty was used. Computers were utilized to permit better control of the time factor, to eliminate the chances of misinterpretation, to facilitate easier evaluation and to hold the attention of the children.
