Memories of childhood neglect and abuse: corroboration in a series of sisters
Article Abstract:
A study on memories of childhood neglect and abuse was conducted using a corroboration in a series of sisters. The study made use of reports from community-based sister-pairs, selected due to its high rate of neglect during childhood. Results of concordance reflected the degree by which experience was shared and judged through the comparison of the sisters' stories. It was discovered that sexual abuse is the most common abusive experience.
