Mental accounting and decision making: Evidence under reverse conditions where money is spent for time saved
Article Abstract:
A study on the general applicability of mental accounting by investigating multi-attribute decisions under a set of conditions, is presented. Mental accounts come into existence or, are used to explain economic decisions, made under non-rational grounds. Also, the prior findings of mental accounting effects under classical conditions, where individuals trade-off time spent for money saved, are replicated.
