Methodological issues in assessment research with ethnic minorities
Article Abstract:
Psychological assessment research has paid little attention to the issues of ethnicity in the past as there have been considerable difficulties in defining ethnic groups as variables in psychological research. Many of these problems result from not emphasizing the assumptions that form the basis for using ethnicity as an explanatory variable. The solutions to some key methodological problems in assessment research with ethnic minorities will occur if suggested guidelines are followed.
