Most people are happy
Article Abstract:
The majority of people all over the world report high subjective well-being (SWB), and express satisfaction with their job, marital life, and products and services they utilize. Self report as well as assessment data reveal that most people's affect is pleasant. Even in disadvantaged groups, people positive SWB is observed. Nationally representative samples are available for 43 countries and 86% of them show positive SWB. The findings that most people tend to be happy, can help in organizing interventions for those who remain unhappy.

Personality and temperament correlates of marital satisfaction
Article Abstract:
The personality and temperament correlates of marital satisfaction were examined via administration of marital satisfaction and Pleasantness-Arousability-Dominance temperament scales. The results suggested that a single better adjusted person can be enough element for a satisfying marriage. Furthermore, temperament was shown to account for substantially more differences in marital satisfaction than effect sizes. However, temperament similarity between mates was not shown as an effective predictor of marital satisfaction.

Personality correlates of scores on the depression-happiness scale
Article Abstract:
High scores on the Depression-Happiness Scale developed by R. McGreal and S. Joseph, show confirmation that personality is associated with happiness. Happier people were generally shown to have positive self-esteem and internal control. Unhappy people scored higher in neurotic traits.
