Osteoporosis in anorexia nervosa: prevention and treatment
Article Abstract:
This article addresses the problems of treating osteoporosis in anorexia nervosa. The author, maintaining osteoporosis is a common complication of anorexia nervosa, states that overall treatment of anorexic patients may not be as effective as treating other osteoporosis patients and suggests clinicians be very vigilant when treating anorexic patients.

Use of total parental nutrition in the refeeding of selected patients with severe anorexia nervosa
Article Abstract:
The use of total parenteral nutrition (TPN) in the refeeding of patients of severe anorexia nervosa is evaluated. The results show that although anorexia nervosa patients should be refed with a dietary program based on progressive increases in oral calories, TNP should be considered for patients with severe anorexia nervosa.

QT interval dispersion and resting metabolic rate in chronic anorexia nervosa
Article Abstract:
An investigation is done on QT dispersion during the chronic phase of anorexia nervosa (AN) and its relationship to resting metabolic rate (RMR). Results reveal that even though corrected QT interval (QTc) did not differ between groups, QT dispersion was significantly greater in AN patients.
