Paths of influence of divorce on preschool children's psychosocial adjustment
Article Abstract:
A study considered the ways in which parental divorce affects children's psychosocial adjustment, using a modified version of a stress and family systems model. The results support the belief that divorce is one of many stressors experienced by divorced mothers and their children. Such mothers may be inattentive to their children's needs due to other concerns such as economic stability and their own general well-being.
