Pattern of perceived stress and anxiety in pregnancy predicts preterm birth
Article Abstract:
The perceived stress and anxiety in 415 pregnant women were evaluated to study the probability that stress can be an indicator of preterm delivery. Results showed that patterns of stress and anxiety are related to gestational length and are important preterm delivery predictors. The significance of a decline in stress for protecting the mother and fetus from the effects of preterm delivery is analyzed.
