Postpurchase Consumer Evaluations, Complaint Actions, and Repurchase Behavior
Article Abstract:
A model of post purchase evaluation and recourse activity is proposed. The general purchasing cycle proceeds from consumption evaluation to redress decision, to recourse evaluation, to repurchase behavior. This cycle is examined with respect to the risk/reward element of each decision. A study is made in Tilburg, Netherlands emphasizing the empirical study of the recourse evaluation of an unsatisfactory product or service. The study involves several possible responses to consumer disatisfaction.
