The discrimination of children's phobias using the revised fear survey schedule for children
Article Abstract:
The discriminant validity of children's and parents' ratings of the child's fear on the Revised Fear Survey Schedule for Children (FSSC-R) was studied, using discriminant function analyses and item analyses. The child-completed and the parent-completed FSSC-Rs were both useful in differentiating specific types of phobias. The child-completed FSSC-R was found to discriminate amongst different simple phobias, although not social phobia.

Prosocial action in very early childhood
Article Abstract:
A model of prosocial development predicting that prosocial action could decline rather than increase throughout childhood, was tested. Most children were found to share less as they grew older, although the oldest girls increased their rate of sharing slightly over time. Girls were more likely to share with other girls as peer relationships developed, and boys were more likely to exhibit reciprocity in sharing.
