Promotion of ego-identify development: can short-term intervention facilitate growth?
Article Abstract:
Perspective-taking training for college-aged subjects may act to boost their commitment to ideological domains of identity, according to two clinical research studies in England. The studies replicated and extended the research of Enright into whether growth in identity is enhanced by short-term perspective-taking training programs. The two studies did not produce the same findings as those of Enright. The studies suggested that males may have reaffirmed existing interpersonal commitments, instead of taking the opportunity for exploration.

Self-concept and questions of life: identity development during late adolescence
Article Abstract:
A majority of adolescents between the age of 18 to 20 yrs possess a stable and positive self-concept. Questions about future are the main concern of adolescents during this period. A well-balanced state of 'autonomy-relatedness' characterizes a positive self-concept. The quality of self-concept is related to how adolescents perceive adults' interest in their existential questions. The Structural Analysis of Social Behavior is an effective self-evaluation test for adolescents.

The covariation of religion and politics during the transition to young adulthood: challenging global identity assumptions
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the covariation of politics and religion and how they influence identity and beliefs among adolescents. Results show that identity foreclosure and moratorium were the only significant relations between politics and religion. Results also indicate that the best political involvement predictor is political diffusion and that the most powerful predictor of religious beliefs is religious diffusion.
