Proximate mechanisms of reproductive monopolization in male moustached tamarins (Saguinus mystax)
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to investigate the possible impact of agonistic interactions and mate-guarding on the monopolization of paternity in male moustached tamarins. The results reveals that while direct agonistic competition does not play a prominent part, and endocrine differences between adult males are likewise not apparent, access to a fertile female is mainly regulated by the consorting of one male, which is probably centered around the female's periods of high fertility.

Use of spatial, visual, and olfactory information during foraging in wild nocturnal and diurnal anthropoids: a field experiment comparing Aotus
Article Abstract:
A comparison on the ability of nocturnal and diurnal New World monkeys, to use perceptual cues and spatial information in within-patch foraging decisions is done. The experimental field study was conducted on wild groups of night monkeys, tamarins, and titi monkeys at the Zoobotanical Park, Brazil.
