Self-construal and emotion in bicultural bilinguals
Article Abstract:
A study predicting that language mediates self-construal in bilinguals and that bilingual narratives are more individualistic when speaking a language associated with an individualistic culture and more collectivist when associated with a collectivist culture is presented. Apart from self-construal the effect of individualism-collectivism on emotional valence in bicultural bilinguals is studied by comparing autobiographical memories retrieved by bi-cultural Russian-English bilinguals across languages.

Modelling transposition latencies: constraints for theories of serial order memory
Article Abstract:
The error latency predictions of four alternative mechanisms for the representation of serial order memory were tested in three different experiments. The data supports the theory that the serial order is represented by a primacy gradient that is accompanied by the suppression of recalled items.
