Measurement and correlates of internalized homophobia: a factor analytic study
Article Abstract:
The four closely related dimensions that categorize internalized homophobia in gay men and lesbians are associated with low disclosure and shorter length of and satisfaction with relationships. Lower degree of sexual attraction to men, higher degree of attraction to women and lower social time with gay people also affect the phobia. A study proves the possibility of measuring internalized homophobia.
