Stressful life events, psychological distress, coping, and parenting of divorced mothers: A longitudinal study
Article Abstract:
The roles of stress and parent distress following divorce on parenting was examined, and a model where stressful events lead to psychological stress is proposed. A model examining how the relationship of psychological distress with parenting can be moderated was proposed and tested.

Behavioral observations of parenting in battered women
Article Abstract:
Parenting behaviors of battered women with school-age children were assessed. Maternal experience of abuse was found to predict maternal warmth although not maternal authority.
