Subjective social status, onbective socioeconomic status, and cardiovascular risk in women
Article Abstract:
The relationship between the subjective and objective socioeconomic status and cardiovascular risk factors among women is examined. Findings revealed that personal perception on social status could have more significant health implications compared to the effects of objective status. The distinct implications of the U.S. and community subjective social status on cardovascular risk are investigated.

Relation between cardiovascular and metabolic disease and cognition in very old age: cross-sectional and longitudinal findings from the Berlin aging study
Article Abstract:
The relation between the cognitive functioning and cardiovascular and metabolic disease in a sample of very old adults (aged 70 and above) is documented. The study shows that the impact of the disease status was the largest on perpetual speed and fluency, memory was impacted only by diabetes, and knowledge was not related to any somatic diagnosis.
