The clinical significance of binge eating disorder
Article Abstract:
This article examines whether or not binge eating disorder is a clinically significant syndrome. The authors, analyzing scientific evidence based upon the evaluation of mental disorders, maintain binge eating disorder is a distintive combination of eating disorder psychopathology, co-occuring physical and psychiatric conditions, and impaired psychosocial functioning, demonstrating that binge eating disorder is a severe and significant health threat.
