The mother-infant relationship in single, cohabiting, and married families: a case for marriage?
Article Abstract:
The comparison of single-mother, cohabiting 2-parent, and married 2-parent families with infants, was done in regards to material and infant behavior, Home observation for Measurement of the Environment (HOME) scores, and infant's security of attachment. The comparison revealed that married families were also better off than single and cohabiting families on several demographic, parent personality, financial, and social context measures.

Article Abstract:
The article analyzes the links between family constructs and science achievement across 41 countries based on science test and questionnaire responses. The links are stronger in economic and culturally developed countries.
