The relationship of peer victimization to social anxiety and loneliness in adolescent females
Article Abstract:
The relationship of overt and relational victimization to social anxiety, loneliness, and prosocial behaviors in a sample of female adolescent is examined. Results demonstrate that relational victimization was uniquely associated with social anxiety and loneliness even after controlling for prosocial behavior and overt victimization.

Influence and selection processes in friendships and adolescent smoking behavior: The role of parental smoking
Article Abstract:
The roles of parents and best friends in adolescent smoking are examined. It is found that adolescents who have smoking parents have a high probability of falling in the smoking habit and it is quite possible that they make friends with those who are smoking.
