The social determinants of youth gambling in South Australian adolescents
Article Abstract:
The hypothesis that gambling can be understood in terms of variations in economic socialization in respect to the way in which children learn about money, risk and saving is examined. It was found that more frequent gambling was associated with parental gambling, peer gambling and pro-gambling but was not related to the adolescent's attitudes towards economic concepts.
