The trouble with American forensic psychiatry
Article Abstract:
The problem with US forensic psychiatry is that the impartial expert is only a myth. Forensic psychiatrists encourage being called hired guns and risk making laughing stocks of their schools and professional organizations by not paying enough attention to the problem of objectivity in court. Training programs need to recognize and focus on the problem. One possibility is to give up the idea of being impartial and openly debating issues at hand.

Nonattenders and attrition from a forensic psychology outpatient service
Article Abstract:
A study of 219 referrals to a psychology outpatient service was conducted to determine how to improve treatment-completion rates. Patients who needed psychological help for anger had a high dropout rate. The study concluded that group treatment and selection of patients who were most apt to complete treatment would improve the services.
