Time trends in the incidence of eating disorders: A primary care study in the Netherlands
Article Abstract:
An epidemiological study was conducted using primary care-based data in Netherlands to examine changes in the incidence of eating disorders in the 1990s compared to the 1980s. It was found that an increasing anorexia nervosa incidence among the high-risk group continued to the end of the past century but the bulimia nervosa incidence did not rise as expected.

Sociocultural factors in the development of anorexia nervosa in a black woman
Article Abstract:
A case report of an African American women with anorexia nervosa is presented, who was referred to a center for eating disorders in The Netherlands. An illustration is provided of the role and possible effects of sociocultural factors in the development of anorexia nervosa.

The prevalence of Eating Disorders Not Otherwise Specified
Article Abstract:
The prevalence of Eating Disorders Not Otherwise Specified (ENDOS) is assessed in a nationwide community sample. The results have shown that EDNOS is a very common eating disorder accounting for three-quarters of all community cases with eating disorders.
