Video gaming promotes concussion knowledge acquisition in youth hockey players
Article Abstract:
A study aimed to develop a video game wherein the educational aspect was implicitly embedded in the video game, such that the gaming activity remained interesting and relevant. Results indicated that participants playing the experimental version of the video game scored significantly higher on a concussion symptoms questionnaire and in a significantly faster time, suggesting that educational material can be conveyed successfully and in an appealing manner via video game play.

An update on the effects of playing violent video games
Article Abstract:
A brief overview of existing research on the effects of exposure to violent video games is presented. An updated meta-analysis indicates that exposure to violent video games is significantly linked to increases in aggressive behavior, aggressive cognition, aggressive affect, and cardiovascular arousal and to decreases in helping behavior.

Benchmarking the cultivation approach to video game effects: a comparison of the correlates of TV viewing and game play
Article Abstract:
A comparison of the significant relationships between first- and second-order cultivation measures, TV viewing and video game play is presented. The study states that cultivation measures typical of the television world are not related to playing video games.
