A review of the autobiographies of 27 prominent psychologists who made notable contributions to psychological theory in the second half of the 20th century is provided. These psychologists contributed to the fields of general experimental psychology, sensory processes and psychophysics, perception, physiological psychology, comparative psychology, developmental psychology, learning theories before 1950, mathematical psychology, psychology and education, cognitive psychology, thinking, problem solving and artificial intelligence, psycholinguistics, personality, clinical and social psychology.

The psychological and social origins of autobiographical memory
Article Abstract:
Autobiographical memory is a function which may develop during a specific point in childhood. It begins when a child learns to relate memories with others and forms a representational system based on exposure to social linguistic formulations. The child develops a certain degree of acumen in memory recounting after using another person's language representation of a similar experience. Once children share their experiences more with others, they will be able to properly relay cultural knowledge acquired at home and in the outside worrld.

Transfer between picture naming and translation: a test of asymmetries in bilingual memory
Article Abstract:
A transfer paradigm proved versatile in ascertaining the correlations between picture naming and translation in 24 English-Spanish bilinguals and in revealing the subjects' asymmetric nature of bilingual memory functioning. The subjects first named pictures and followed it up by translating words in both their first and second languages.
