CG 400-PS: Compugraphic Corporation
Article Abstract:
Compugraphic's CG 400-PS printer uses an array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), rather than a laser beam, to print pages. The CG 400-PS is fast, printing 13 to 14 pages per minute. The CG 400-PS has a print resolution of 400 dpi and presents a clear printout. The CG 400-PS has a 2,000-sheet input bin and a 500-sheet output capacity. The CG 400-PS requires a service representative for tasks other than adding paper and toner, connecting cables, and switching from Appletalk to a parallel or serial port. The CG 400-PS is priced at $29,995, plus $325 to $365 for a mandatory service contract. The CG 400-PS provides 6Mbytes of memory, and a 20Mbyte hard disk.
