Architect Florence Knoll was a pioneer who entered architecture when few women did and who together with husband Hans Knoll formed Knoll International. Together the Knolls designed cutting-edge furniture and interiors for offices in the 1940's and 1950's. Florence Knoll sold Knoll International in 1959 and finally left the company in 1965.

CLM is an agency started by three advertising agents, Allen Chevalier, Jean-Loup Le Forestier and Phillippe Michel in Paris. In 1972, CLM merged with BBDO, an American firm and became a part of the Omnicom group.
