Fernando Medina, a graphic and product designer, takes a minimalist approach to his work. He says this is difficult to achieve, that the mind must be cleared in order for simplicity to emerge. He likes to make extensive use of color. Medina, born in Spain, has worked in Tokyo, Japan, Madrid, Spain, Peru, Montreal, Canada and Los Angeles, CA. The 46-year-old's clients have included l'Oreal, Polaroid and Expo '92.

Ed Fella: "design doodler"

Edward Fella is an artist, designer and educator whose endless exploration of expressive topography results in six to twelve small posters a year, consisting of meticulously hand-drawn letter forms. He is interested in graphic design as art and he creates thousands of sketchbook pages where some include whimsical or absurd, cartoon-like figures and others just abstract shapes and letter forms.

Maria's world

Maria Rendon successfully incorporates numerous materials in developing her three-dimensional art and this direction originated with her when she was a child in Mexico organizing her things in boxes.
