Krivanek's monuments to the masses
Article Abstract:
Artist BJ Krivanek designs monuments that celebrate groups who are ignored, shunned or marginalized by society. His environmental installations blend sculpture, architecture and design to commemorate the invisible outsider rather than prominent figures. Krivanek's art is driven by people so the content of his 'communications infrastructures' often includes comments collected during site visits and interviews.
