Made in America
Article Abstract:
Paul Davis paints with a process similar to storytelling, translating an image from his mind to the canvas. He grew up in small Oklahoma towns amid open spaces. American colonial and Mexican primitive painting styles were among his early interests, and he preferred to do landscapes, portraits, and animals rather than objects with straight lines and planes.
