Property and copyright: from Herculano to Vaidhyanathan: a Brazilian perspective
Article Abstract:
The opinions of authors Siva Vaidhyanathan and Alexandre Herculano about copyrights, particularly those referring to the concept of property, are compared. Some reflections relating the questions raised in this comparison and the current state of copyright policy in Brazil and the United States are included.

The foreign publisher in the U.S. market

The U.S. distribution offers great opportunities to increase revenue streams for foreign publishers. The strategy of using a master book distributor as an exclusive market partner is focused and it is stated that a mix of different models will serve the purpose of increasing revenue for foreign publishers.
