The short wave band (SW) Radio Africa team presents the days events in Zimbabwe, and the station fosters a two-way dialogue between the London staffers and their African audience and the strength in what they do is to let the people speak in their own voices. The staff of SW Radio Africa downplay their role as their actions have earned them an exile that would last as long as Robert Mugabe regime that is President of Zimbabwe, who has barred them from entry.

Investigating Le Monde
Article Abstract:
Pierre Pean and Philippe Cohen, the two investigative reporters launch an attack against the established French newspaper, Le Monde raising questions about the directors' motive. They charged that the paper's directors used the paper to tarnish and trample on their adversaries with investigative stories and campaigns and inflated the paper's circulation numbers and disguised the paper's financial standing.

Press laws in Africa: Stumbling blocks for journalists

Angus Shaw, a Zimbabwe AP correspondent and Ray Choto, a former reporter for The Standard in Zimbabwe are criminalized under their country's draconian press laws. The introduction of legislations such as the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Public Order and Security Act in Zimbabwe has effectively closed the media space.
