A cross to bear
Article Abstract:
The property sector in the north London borough of Barnet has experienced some difficulties over recent years, but now seems to be recovering. A number of multiple retailers have remained there, and the 860,000 sq ft Brent Cross shopping centre is also being refurbished, adding 65,000 sq ft. In the borough of Enfield, most demand for property is coming from storage and distribution companies. However, take-up in the industrial sector has improved over recent months.

Article Abstract:
The north London borough of Camden has become a fashionable media, office and retail area, with demand for shop and office space having risen considerably over recent years. Camden has become the third-largest tourist attraction in London, attracting 200,000 visitors every weekend. The borough of Islington has also become interesting to property developers, but has a large number of listed buildings, so development is restricted.

Proving slow to shed its past
Article Abstract:

It is now increasingly attracting high-tech, service and computer concerns, and this has given it a low unemployment rate. However, its association with manufacturing has meant that potential office tenants have been deterred.
