The two elements of retail and leisure are coming together with shopping centres in the UK. The concept is a new one, but increasing numbers of landlords are considering this possibility, though the choice of elements is important. New facilities available in shopping centers include cinemas, bowling alleys, bingo parlors and upscale video arcades. Catering facilities are seen to encourage people to stay within the area.
