Advantage sportswear
Article Abstract:
Many high street sports shops in the UK are now beginning to offer a wide range of top branded products, recognizing that fashion clothing and footwear have greater profit potential than sports equipment. This trend has been partly fuelled by the high profile sponsorship deals which have been achieved by leading manufacturers such as Reebok and Nike. Outside the fashion sector, sports retailing in the UK is dominated by small specialist chains and independent outlets. These are often managed by people who have themselves been successful in a sport.
