This directory is arranged geographically and lists some 550 of the biggest facility moves in the United States and 34 other countries in 1999 that meet certain criteria. Among the listings is Blue Circle Cement's $230 million manufacturing plant expansion in Calera, Alabama, which is located in the Birmingham metropolitan area.

1999: A very good year for business expansion in Canada

In 1999, business expansion in Ontario and Canada was very good. Among the larger new and expanding corporate facilities that made the news are Cisco Systems' US$2.7 million, 55,000 square foot office and laboratory facility in Ottawa, Ontario; and Primetech Electronic s new $28 million printed circuits manufacturing plant in Kirkland, Quebec. Other facilities are listed.
