The Mexican state of Coahuila is the site of highly-developed automotive and textile industries. The province, which boasts of a diverse base of economic activity, has several automotive plants owned by companies such as General Motors Corp. and Chrysler Corp. Textile and garment manufacturers, such as Wrangler and Hanes, also operate production plants in Coahuila. The state's success in attracting foreign firms can be attributed to its highly-skilled labor force and vast resources.
