The United Kingdom
Article Abstract:
Overseas companies already form a significant part of the UK economy and the UK is keen to welcome more inward investment. Overseas companies accounted for 24% of net UK output and employed 18% of the manufacturing personnel in 1992. Inward investment benefits the UK, but the UK also has much to offer overseas companies including a large domestic market, a strong, cost-competitive workforce, and a framework of financial incentives, particularly for companies locating in areas needing regeneration.
