Chester County
Article Abstract:
The greatest concern of the Chester County, PA, council is preserving the natural beauty of the area. Burgeoning economic development concentrated along Route 22 has increased the pressure for development but officials insist on environmentally safe procedures. Most of the county's biomedical and pharmaceutical companies are situated in Route 22. Easy access to skilled labor supply is also a major reason for the site selection. The west side of Chester County is largely rural with rolling hills and farms while the commercial and manufacturing activity is concentrated on the east side.
