The city of Glasgow, Scotland, has been attracting financial services companies for some time, and is now also becoming a key location for call centre operations. It offers a large available workforce, relatively low labour costs and people who have a very strong work ethic. Many new businesses are taking town centre sites, as there is a lack of out-of-town business park space.
