Alternative approach
Article Abstract:
Luton and Dunstable, United Kingdom, are prime targets for property developers because there is an international airport nearby, plus motorway and rail links to London. Pillar-Property-Haslemere paid 8.5 million pounds sterling to buy Capability Green Business Park and it plans to build offices on the site. There are also three out-of-town sites for office development. White Lion Retail Park covers 45 acres and it is being developed into retail warehousing. Rents are comparatively cheap in the region and London is only about 40 minutes away.

Article Abstract:
David Wilson, managing director of Eurotunnel Developments Limited, aims to rejuvenate the county of Kent, making it a commercial centre of Europe via the Channel Tunnel. EDL has released about 40 acres to date, raising working capital, and the remaining 610 acres will be rented or sold during the next 15 years. Wilson travels extensively to seek investors and believes that Far Eastern markets will continue to trade with Europe, in spite of currency pressures.
