The foreign trade accounts for 50% of GDP for Mexico and 72% for Canada, so the movement of the goods across the borders of the United States is crucial and has to be less time consuming for these countries. To manage logistics efficiently the three countries are planning and developing sites in the bordering states for customs clearing, warehousing and for transit hubs.

Intel Corp. has proposed a new processor fabrication facility at Chandler, Arizona, the cost of the plant is said to be 3 billion dollars.
