Article Abstract:
The Japanese government focus its policy to real estate and wants to better understand how policies beyond low interest rates benefit U.S. real estate markets and how those markets, in turn, contribute to U.S. economic growth. The facts presented at the meeting at the Japanese embassy in Washington between the Japanese officials and National Association of Realtors on the real estate policies are outlined.

Higher rates won't tank sales

The households are expected to maintain a relatively healthy appetite for home buying as the economy gains momentum and the numbers of job increases. The interest rates below 7 percent and a relatively lean supply of houses will result in healthy home sales and home prices.
