Ford's european comeback

Ford Motor Co.'s European operations are likely to follow the model developed in Cologne, Germany, where the automaker has renovated it production facility to be one of the most technologically advanced in the world. The improvements will increase capacity by 45%, in part by adding a third shift. Ford plans upgrades at other European plants. Factors considered in site selection include proximity to market, government incentives, and a ready pool of labor and suppliers.

The South Eastern states of the United States of America attract many business expansions and relocations of manufacturing companies and other worker intensive service providers. The main reason for this trend is the policy of Right - to - Work adopted by these states, where the workers have the right to choose whether to join/finance a union or not.
