Foreign money in a PC world
Article Abstract:
The electronics industry is expected to overtake sectors such as automobiles and chemicals and become the fastest growing manufacturing sector in the world by 2006. In the U.K., semiconductor activity has grown rapidly and sales in Britain and Ireland are expected to reach over $9 billion during 1996. New semiconductor plants are being established by multinational manufacturers in government-backed development areas, such as South Wales, North East England and Scotland. Electronics investment in the U.K. and its impact on the commercial property market is analysed.
