Fraser Pipestock Ltd v Gloucester City Council
Article Abstract:
A UK legal case, Fraser Pipestock Ltd V Gloucester City Council, hinged on a rent review and how the new rent should be calculated. The tenant was the plaintiff in this case and the yearly rent was defined in accordance with a clause in the lease. This offered different options such as the previous rent, a set figure, or 8% of the lessee's rack rents. The lessee did not have subtenants and argued that the rack rent could not be calculated. The court found for the plaintiff.

Micrografix v Woking 8 ltd
Article Abstract:
A legal case involving landlord and tenant relations related to a notice with a mistaken date of termination, and arguments as to whether this was valid. The tenants took on a lease for a 20 year period and a mistake was made in a letter to the landlord in which they asked for acknowledgement to notice to end their lease. The court's decision was that the landlords had enough information to understand the intent of the letter, despite the mistake, so the notice was valid.
